Stevens Point, WI (PRWEB) November 01, 2012

Three school districts in Montgomery County have recently selected the School Business Suite from Skyward, an industry leading K-12 school administrative software provider, to improve business operations within their districts. With the addition of Upper Merion Area School District, Colonial School District and Central Montco Technical High School, the growing customer list in Pennsylvania is now at 41 districts that use the Skyward School Management System.

All three districts have purchased the Skyward School Business Suite to manage daily business activities. With Skyward, each district benefits from an integrated finance and human resource software package that allows the districts to manage annual budgets, employee pay, time off and much more from a centralized database.

Steve Skrocki, business administrator for Upper Merion Area School District, who oversees an annual budget of $78.7 million that assists about 600 full-time employees and nearly 3,900 students, said Skyward's School Business Suite will greatly increase efficiencies in the district's everyday business operations. “Our main objective in conducting the search was to identify a product that we felt could enhance internal efficiencies by a tremendous amount,” he said, “And that's what we've received with Skyward.”

Skrocki said Skyward's ease-of-use, ability to streamline operations for greater efficiency, and workflow tools were key factors in choosing the leading K-12 school administrative software provider. “Having a streamlined, electronic approval process will certainly cut down internal costs,” he said. “Staff can now do more important things than pushing around papers. Through Skyward, we are really looking forward to increased accessibility of information, and being more transparent with our community when it comes to financial information.”

According to Trevor Jackson, business administrator for Colonial School District, Skyward's School Business Suite will play an integral role in its business operations as well. “We are looking forward to having the ability to write reports quickly,” he said. “Additionally, our district will benefit from the efficiency in retrieving and analyzing data,” says Jackson. “Skyward provides the ability to easily drill down data, and is also extremely easy to navigate.”

While searching for a new software system, all three districts that chose Skyward made it a main priority to purchase the same software provider so they could easily exchange best practices on implementation and use. “This is pretty exciting,” said Skrocki. “Having three local districts that can rely on each other for sharing information and planning strategies is a huge plus.”
