Tianjin, CHINA (PRWEB) November 01, 2012
Appconomy, Inc. announced today the general availability of its Jinjin ™ mobile platform and apps for large and small retailers at the 14th China Retail Industry Convention, being held here in Tianjin, just outside of Beijing. Appconomy's retail solutions, being demonstrated at the convention's Expo, combine in-store guides, smart shopping lists, and personalized in-store promotions to retail consumers using Android or iOS devices, combined with retailer-specific loyalty plans and customer analysis that make the Jinjin platform an appealing choice for retail chains.
“The mobile revolution for retailers and consumers in China is entering a new phase,” said Steve Papermaster, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Appconomy's Board of Directors, who is a featured speaker at the convention tomorrow. “With our core Jinjin platform, apps, services and experience, Appconomy is well positioned to help retailers in China take advantage of this revolution in mobile.”
Appconomy's retail solutions use technology that powers its advertising and loyalty solution for food & beverage merchants, called the Jinjin Marketplace, which has been pilot testing in Beijing for two months. The pilot is being operated with many well-known Chinese domestic and Asian brands, in hundreds of store locations across Beijing. Among the advantages to a retailer that selects Appconomy for its mobile retail solutions is that the common, cloud-based services and database allow the retailer to syndicate its products, special offers, and other promotions to potential new customers who use the Jinjin Marketplace app.
“The growth of mobile commerce in China has been startling and was a key business driver for Appconomy's decision to co-locate our headquarters and operations in Shanghai, China along with our US center, in Austin, Texas,” said Brian Magierski, Co-founder and CEO of Appconomy. “The demand for goods and services by a rapidly growing middle-class in China is no small secret to global brands. Our Jinjin Marketplace app and platform meet a pressing need by retailers to provide mobile channels to directly connect with increasingly sophisticated smartphone enabled consumers - more than 350 million of which are in China, which exceeds the entire population of the United States.”
