Brosix's latest iPhone app release includes push notification.
(PRWEB) November 01, 2012
Brosix is pleased to announce that the latest version of the Brosix for iPhone app, version 1.6 has now been released. This version includes Push notifications, something that is quite useful for the mobile enterprise instant messaging application.
Push notifications are a technique used by apps to alert iPhone, iPad and iPod touch owners to content updates, messages, and other events within an app that users may want to be aware of, even though they aren't using the app at that time. Push notification also saves the battery by allowing apps to receive information without actually running in the background. The notification appears on a user's screen while the phone is turned on.
“We are so excited to offer this latest feature to our iPhone application users,” Stefan Chekanov, CEO of Brosix, said. “We know many of our users will appreciate the ability to turn on Push Notifications from the Brosix iPhone app.”
Brosix for iPhone version 1.6 runs on iOS 4.0 and above and also supports iPhone 3GS / 4 / 4s /5, iPad, iPod Touch.
Future Plan for Mobile Version Development
Brosix developers have already started working on the next release. Plans include:
- Sending geo-location information,
- Sending pictures,
- Fitting the bigger screen of iPhone 5 and to
- Calling contacts via the phone directly from Brosix app contact list using your cell phone plan minutes.
