CORONA, Calif., Nov. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. AVTC (www.autoretail.com) Founder and Chairman, Shannon Illingworth, was a guest on the popular radio program, "Business Rockstars."

The program plays on top rated radio station KFWB in Los Angeles, and features leaders in business who have triumphed over challenges and have built successful companies. The guests on the program all share a common trait: they are visionaries that are able to predict trends and have developed products that break the mold, set new standards, and redefine entire industries.

Shannon Illingworth, the founder and chairman of AVT, discussed his company's growth in the automated retailing industry, and how entrepreneurs can now start a business for less than $10,000 – and sell virtually anything they want, anywhere they want, through a custom made self-service system.

While some may call it high-tech vending, it is really much more, Illingworth commented.  Their high-tech systems provide built-in touchscreens, cashless payment centers, wireless remote management, and even high definition screens for advertising and promotional messages.

AVT's latest product is a collaboration with Marley Coffee, which allows system owners to place an automated coffee store virtually anywhere, and provide customers with a fresh ground and brewed cup of gourmet coffee for less than half the cost of a typical Starbucks drink.

The host of the program, Ken Rutkowski, commented that he loved this business because of the low cost of entry (he made reference to the fact that opening a typical franchise costs hundreds of thousands of dollars), and because if the business isn't performing up to expectations, you can literally pick it up and move it somewhere else.

Joining Illingworth on the program was Ron Brown, former Gold Medal Olympic athlete, NFL great, and business entrepreneur. Brown discussed why he was getting involved with AVT and the Marley Coffee Self-Service Coffee Stores. Brown stated that he was looking for a superb business opportunity after his professional sports career, and that the Marley Coffee Kiosks are like a "business in a box," that can be placed anywhere, with each one generating around $2500 per month in revenues. He said that the return on his investment is in as little as 7 months, and it's all profit from that point on. "I can even put a machine next to a Starbucks and people will use it. That's how great the coffee is."
