CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 21, 2012) - It's that time of year again, holiday-themed events celebrated with friends and family, which is why Big Rock Brewery BR, Associated Cab and the Calgary Police Service have come together for the seventh year to remind people to get home safe.

Starting Thursday November 22, 2012, and running through December including New Years Eve, a city- wide campaign will remind consumers to act responsibly while enjoying the holidays and not get behind the wheel of a vehicle if they are impaired.

The campaign will involve more than 100 bars and restaurants in Calgary, who will display 350 posters and distribute more than 25,000 coasters. The phone number for Associated Cab is prominently displayed on the promotional material to encourage everyone to book a safe ride home.

"As a local craft brewery we have always stressed the enjoyment of our products in moderation, that's why this campaign is so important to us as the holiday sees more than its usual share of merriment and we want to remind people not to drink and drive," says Bob Sartor, President and CEO.

On Thursday November 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. MST, members of the media are invited to the launch of this campaign at the Calgary Police Service Traffic Section located at 6528 11th St. N.E. Representatives from each organization involved will be at the availability along with the Check Stop bus and a vehicle that was involved in a fatal collision.
