The pages of WIRED are coming to life this holiday season with the return of the 8th annual WIRED Store in New York City, presented by Buick and CITI. Located at 583 Broadway in the heart of SoHo, the elite pop-up gallery featuring the latest and greatest in gadgets, gear, art, décor and special events will run November 30 through December 23, open Tuesday - Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Inspired by WIRED's popular editorial franchise, “What's Inside,” the 2012 WIRED Store will visually deconstruct consumer favorites both literally and figuratively to uncover the surprising components that keep more than 150 of today's hottest products ahead of the curve. Guests can explore the uniquely interactive shopping experience, installations, and exclusive events to pique their curiosity and fill their holiday wish lists.

This year's one-of-a-kind curated products include:

  • ‘No Place Like Home' GPS Shoes: Inspired by Dorothy's famous ruby red slippers, these magical shoes combine GPS technology and LED lights to guide the wearer home.
  • Boite A Musique: The meticulous craftsmanship usually reserved for the finest Swiss-crafted watch movements is utilized to create a unique music box of exquisite movement and sound of the highest caliber.
  • Iris Van Herpen 3-D Printed Dress: Inspired by modern society's addiction to losing themselves in digital entertainment, this fantastical masterpiece is part of the world-renowned Escapism couture collection by Dutch fashion designer Van Herpen, whose celebrity fans include Bjork and Lady Gaga.
  • RotoBooth: A rotary dial photo booth that reinvents mobile photographing and sharing.
  • Happiness Machine: An Internet-connected printer that prints randomly happy thoughts from across the globe.

Critically acclaimed photographer and artist Todd McLellan's motion work will also be on display from his series entitled “Disassembly,” which captures the mechanical beauty and complexity of old technology in exploded views.
