You Can Do Something about Homelessness in Your Community, Says the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority
Los Angeles County has one of the highest homeless populations in the nation. On any given night there are about 51,000 people without a place to call home. Many of our homeless are veterans, families, youth and those with mental health conditions.
You can do something about homelessness in your community. Volunteer January 29th to the 31st for the 2013 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count conducted by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority. Just a few hours of your time can help your community better target services and housing assistance that ultimately get people experiencing homelessness into safe and stable housing.
Be part of the solution. Sign up to volunteer at: www.theycountwillyou.org.
