ROAM Launches Next Generation Mobile Point of Sale Reader
ROAM, the leading mobile commerce platform provider, launched the G4X Mobile Card Reader, hailed as the industry's next generation mobile card acceptance technology. The G4X, ROAM's fourth generation mobile reader, offers a range of enhanced features including auto device detection enabling plug and play pairing with a variety of handsets and tablets, along with auto power management maximizing its use of the mobile device battery. Compatible with more than 100 mobile devices, a number that continues to grow, the G4X supports the vast majority of Android, and iOS-based smartphones and tablets on the market today. Consistent with all ROAM products, the G4X offers the highest levels of security, including end- to-end encryption with cardholder data encrypted upon swipe.
“ROAM's G4X Mobile Card Reader is the latest innovation in secure mobile card acceptance technology,” remarked Ken Paull, ROAM's CEO. “Compatible with more mobile devices than any other secure mobile card reader on the market today, the G4X offers the highest levels of security, unmatched reliability and performance, and a comprehensive range of custom branding options. Not surprisingly ROAM has sold millions of readers since introducing our first device in 2010 – the same readers that are used by the most recognizable brands in mobile point of sale today,” he added.
The G4X is fully integrated with the ROAMpay™ product suite providing a completely turnkey mobile point of sale solution, or can be easily integrated with third party mobile point of sale applications using the ROAMpay SDK. In addition, ROAM provides a number of options for custom branding the G4X.
