Trading Technologies' X_TRADER® Named "Best Buy-Side Commodities Trading Platform"

Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT), a leading global provider of professional derivatives trading software and solutions, announced that its flagship product, X_TRADER, was named “Best Commodities Trading Platform” at the prestigious Buy-Side Technology Awards in London last Friday. The judging panel assessed trading platforms developed to support “buy-side organizations trading energy, metals and agricultural instruments” and chose X_TRADER as the winner. This is the fifth time TT's X_TRADER has been named “Best Commodities Trading Platform.”

“Only a handful of this year's winners received awards last year,” explained Victor Anderson, editor-in-chief of Waters magazine and “Not only has TT repeated last year's success, it has won the best commodities trading platform category for five of the last six years. TT was able to achieve this by impressing the judges with the seamless integration of its ADL™ module into X_TRADER and by balancing the unyielding need for performance with increasing important risk and reporting features.”

“We are very honored to have received this award again this year. But we recognize that TT must continue innovating in order to continue delivering the highest-value trading solutions to our buy-side clients. So this year's BST award is an important milestone, but our journey doesn't stop here,” said Tom Haldes, TT's head of buy-side technology.

The key X_TRADER enhancement introduced in 2012 was the integration of ADL, TT's visual algorithmic programming platform. With ADL, clients use drag-and-drop building blocks to rapidly design, test and deploy automated futures and options trading programs without writing a single line of code. In this way, TT clients are generating executable strategies to seize fleeting market opportunities in time frames that were previously thought to be impossible.
