Holiday Open House Celebrates Great Lakes Mechanical Services Expansion, Hirings

Just the Christmas present this economy has been waiting for, Great Lakes Mechanical Services announces their expanded facility and new hirings. The company is hosting a Holiday Open House to celebrate their progress.

Great Lakes Mechanical Services in south suburban Chicago recently completed a 5,000 sq. ft. expansion and has also hired a new administrative assistant, new sales staff and several mechanics. These milestones were prompted by the company's growing list of projects.

“We hit the tipping point,” said Gary Lombardi, President. “Referrals are growing, additional projects from existing clients are growing – all based on the quality of our work. Customers can trust that their repair, assembly or installation is in talented, intelligent hands with our crew,” Gary said. “We found we just needed a few more of those hands.”

Gary believes the onshoring, or reshoring, movement is a significant factor in their success. “More companies and consumers are understanding that ‘Made in America' really means something.”

Executive Vice President Chris Lombardi and the Great Lakes sales team have expanded their network, becoming a part of the Calumet Area Industrial Commission, the American Welding Society and both the Crete Illinois and Portage Indiana Chambers of Commerce. “These organizations are helping us meet new customers, new partners and new potential employees,” Chris said.

To celebrate these landmarks, Great Lakes Mechanical Services is hosting a Holiday Open House, to introduce customers, partners and the industrial community to their new facility and their new staff. On Thursday, December 13, from 4 pm to 8 pm, guests will enjoy hors d'oeuvres, beverages and door prizes including hotel stays and gift cards while viewing the updated space at 1221 Commerce Drive, Suite 400, in Crete, Illinois.

Great Lakes Mechanical Services' millwrights, welders, machinists and mechanics provide outstanding on-site industrial plant maintenance, emergency repair, assembly and installation to a variety of industries, including steel, petro-chemical, utilities, railroad, manufacturing, forging, food processing, construction and distribution.

To reserve your place at the Open House, email or call 708-672-5900 by December 8th.
