Atlas World Group, Inc. Hires Industry Veteran to Lead New Subsidiary AWG Logistics
Atlas World Group, Inc. today announces it has established a new executive position to head the company's newest subsidiary, Atlas World Group (AWG) Logistics. Seasoned industry veteran Matt Van der Linde will serve as vice president and general manager of this newly formed division, which will provide a significantly broader suite of logistics services to meet the needs of Atlas' customers.
AWG Logistics is a non-asset based, full-service third party logistics provider (3PL). The subsidiary will offer clients customized supply chain solutions that integrate transportation, warehousing and installation through leading edge technology and industry resources.
“We are constantly seeking innovative ways to build our business to benefit our customers, and we believe the hiring of Matt to lead the AWG Logistics team is another step in the right direction for Atlas,” said Jack Griffin, president and COO of Atlas World Group.
Previously, Van der Linde served in business development and management positions in the distribution, consumer goods and high tech sectors. For the past 10 years, he has been a senior executive in the transportation and logistics industry providing supply chain solutions, carrier development, specialized transportation and various other logistical services both domestically and globally. Van der Linde will also oversee the Atlas Specialized Transport Group (STG), an asset-based, less-than-truckload carrier of AWG Logistics.
“With our renowned white glove service, we're bringing a higher level of quality to the 3PL industry with AWG Logistics,” said Van der Linde. “The Atlas name is synonymous with quality, and customers can expect superior supply chain solutions and improved efficiency.”
