The Outlook Lodge Celebrates Grand Opening

Today, The Outlook Lodge, a handsome, six-room retreat, located in Green Mountain Falls, Colo. celebrates its grand opening. Originally constructed in 1889, the Lodge has been re-imagined as a private, bespoke escape, providing all the necessary creature comforts while maintaining a rustic simplicity. The exterior woodwork and detailing have remained, preserving the timeless charm of its Victorian style, while the interior has been carefully updated with custom furnishings. Additionally, original pieces of artwork by celebrated American artists, all from owner and noted art collector Christian Keesee's personal collection, adorn the walls of the Lodge's guestrooms and common areas.

The Outlook Lodge features a full kitchen; a library specially curated with books about the region and its fascinating history; a spacious living and dining room; and a laundry room. Outside, the Lodge offers guests a large wraparound porch and a patio complete with a dining area and circular gas fireplace.

All suites are individually designed and decorated, and feature hardwood floors, modern and mid-century furnishings and original artworks by celebrated artists. Two Carriage House Bay Window Rooms each feature queen beds, oversized bathrooms with double-sink vanities, and beautiful bay windows with window seats that overlook the Lodge's sloping garden. Two Carriage House Standard Rooms each feature queen beds and large bathrooms with custom vanities. A Lodge Family Suite is comprised of two bunk rooms, a guest room with a queen bed, a sitting area and sleeping porch, and two bathrooms. The Lodge Deluxe Suite offers a large private sitting room, a separate suite with queen bed and a deluxe bathroom. Each room also comes complete with The Outlook Lodge Travelogue, a guide with history about the region, as well as tips about local restaurants, hiking trails, hangouts and more, commissioned by The Outlook Lodge and researched and written by a former New York Times travel writer.

Upon making reservations, guests will receive contact information for their local host, who will provide guests with pre-arrival information and local dining and activity recommendations; for an extra fee, full luxury concierge service is available. Room rates range from $89-$239 per night, depending on season.
