Techie.com, a new website showcasing all things technological and state of the art, is also reaching out to the literary community to mix technology and creativity and showcase their works on the website's new "Techie Fiction" section.

Techie.com is looking for fiction authors to submit their best stories not to exceed 2,000 words for its fiction section. Techie will choose one story to be added each week. Writers chosen will receive a small compensation and bragging rights to be one of the first published on one of the web's most cutting edge technological websites.

Keeping up with the latest technology is fun, but when it's time to take a break from discussing apps and operating systems techie.com wants to offer something entirely different to its readers. So whether your favorite part of the site is checking out the latest app or gadget or reading a wildly innovative story, techie has it. That's why we are putting out a call for science fiction, fantasy writers or any fiction writers with a story idea that fits into the techie theme, to submit their stories. Writers get a chance to show their work to a tech savvy audience, and readers get an opportunity for a different type of reading to keep both hemispheres of their brains active.

Techie's founder Dan Blacharski explained, “We at techie.com love looking at the latest technological trends and discussing how it affects how we work, live and play, but we wanted techie.com to be more. We want to offer our audience a change of pace and entertainment without leaving our site. What better way to do that to than to reach out to fiction writers for their best science fiction, technological or fantasy based stories that fit into the techie.com theme to be showcased right here? Our readers can take a side trip into fiction, then return to the real life technology available on techie.com without missing a beat.”

In the future, techie.com will expand its fiction section to not only include story submissions but also articles and discussions on favorite technological publications, best all-time science fiction writers, fantasy versus reality articles and general discussions about the blending of our literary culture with modern technology.

Writers are invited to submit stories of 2,000 words or less to: Techie(at)uglydogmedia(dot)com.
