Colchester, UK (PRWEB UK) 30 October 2012

Howells LLP, the South Yorkshire leading law firm with over 30 years of service providing high quality legal advice, has invested in a new human resources solution from Access. The law firm has replaced its existing time and attendance system with SelectHR, a full human resources solution offering self-service, training and development, timesheets and appraisals.

Claire Asquith, HR Manager at Howells, said, “We have had a time and attendance system in place for the past few years, however with the firms continuing growth and our commitment to our people strategy, and learning and development plan, this was no longer fulfilling our HR and business needs. The SelectHR system allows the HR department to spend more valuable time on initiatives such as employee engagement, absence management and other pro-active work.”

The HR team at Howells were impressed with Select HR from the start of the selection process. “This is a great product that is intuitive to use and really user-friendly” continued Claire. “We were also impressed with Access' continuous investment in the product, and it gives us added confidence that we will be using the latest version.”

Howells will be rolling self-service out to 200 staff who can book holiday, administer their own records, record sickness and reasons for absence, as well as manage their CPD and training requirements through the web-based solution

Access's Select HR will replace a series of spreadsheets, and reduce a great amount of rekeying of information. “By significantly reducing the time we spend recording information, this new system will save on average around 11 hours a week of admin time, allowing us to concentrate on core HR activities,” concluded Claire.
