Richardson, TX (PRWEB) October 29, 2012
Oracle BRM (Billing and Revenue Management) specialists at SSG will host a free web-based information session on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. – noon that will discuss challenges with taxing cloud-based services.
“Customers benefit from using cloud-based programs and applications because they literally have no physical location – there is no need to worry about space,” Jason Anderson, SSG's managing director of BRM, said. “However, this customer benefit leads to challenges for service providers. The lack of address complicates service taxation, because taxes and fees are determined by hosting and customer locations.”
“If the host and customer are based in different states or countries, it can be difficult to figure out where to start,” Anderson said. “This is especially true if you need to be compliant with the standards of an international taxing agency in addition to the IRS regulations.”
“Taxing Your Cloud Services” will be the first of many free consulting sessions, or “TechTalks,” that SSG will be hosting. TechTalks will be designed to provide recommendations for solving Billing Revenue and Management (BRM) challenges, creating efficiencies and reducing the costs associated with operating BRM.
“We will be answering the questions that everyone using BRM commonly asks,” Anderson said. “We want to help organizations by providing practical solutions to common challenges that can be used to make BRM better support their business needs.”
TechTalks will be live and interactive web-based sessions. They will include designated Q&A time, during which participants will have the opportunity to ask their own questions to SSG's highly qualified consultants.
Each TechTalk session will tackle a different BRM question. Topics may include best practices to optimize BRM, challenges in integrating BRM, reducing BRM support costs and tips to automate manual processes.
TechTalks are expected to last approximately one hour each and participation will be free of charge. Invitations will be sent through email starting at the end of June and will contain online registration information. Anyone interested in more information or participating in TechTalk may contact SSG Limited at 214-333-2000.
