The sweepstakes, which starts October 29, 2012 and ends January 4, 2013, will promote the annual release of the holiday-themed Peanuts™ Holiday Collection DVD on October 2, 2012. Consumers are invited to vote for their favorite holiday recipe from among six recipes developed by prominent food bloggers at http://www.NutsAboutTheHolidays.com for a chance to win the Grand Prize of $1,000 worth of kitchenware. In addition, five First Prize winners will each receive a prize pack containing Peanut Butter & Co. products, Peanuts DVDs, and Peanuts merchandise.
Promotion for the sweepstakes will appear on Peanut Butter & Co. products throughout 2012, as well as in national print, online, and social media channels.
“Peanut Butter & Co. is delighted to welcome the holidays with a new animated Peanuts collection,” said Lee Zalben, Founder & President of Peanut Butter & Co. “Who better to celebrate the holidays with than the Peanuts gang?”
There is no purchase necessary to enter the sweepstakes. For a complete set of rules and to enter, consumers can go to http://www.NutsAboutTheHolidays.com.
The 3-disc Peanuts™ Holiday Collection brings together the classic Peanuts holiday specials “It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” Getting into the Halloween spirit, Charlie Brown and Snoopy crash Violet's Halloween party while Linus anxiously awaits the arrival of the Great Pumpkin. When Thanksgiving comes around, Charlie Brown's meager attempts at cooking a turkey dinner prompt Linus, Snoopy, and Woodstock to come to the culinary rescue. Charlie Brown recovers from the holiday blues by directing a school nativity play, and in doing so discovers the true meaning of Christmas.
