China Daily adopts EidosMedia global newsroom solution
China's leading English-language daily will use the Méthode editorial and publishing platform to grow their global news publishing operations.
New York, USA. (PRWEB) October 29, 2012
With a daily circulation of more than 800,000 and a readership both within China and abroad, China Daily provides an important international window onto Chinese affairs.
The paper has offices in Beijing and other Chinese cities, as well as in major centers in Asia, Europe, Africa and the USA. It has multiple Asian, European and US print editions, in addition to an online edition and e-paper.
As part of a strategic plan to expand its operations and develop a 24-hour, global newsroom, China Daily has chosen EidosMedia's multiple-channel publishing platform Méthode, in conjunction with the dedicated Web CMS, Méthode Portal Server.
“We are delighted that China Daily has chosen Méthode for this next step in its development as an international news operation,” said Gabriella Franzini, EidosMedia CEO.
“China Daily has a dynamic and fast-evolving readership,” said Steve Ball, General Manager of EidosMedia Inc. “We are excited to be contributing to its growth into a global, 24-hour, multi-channel news organization.”
The Méthode installation will serve editorial staff in Beijing and other Chinese cities, connecting them through a single editorial platform with staff in Asia, Europe, Africa and the USA.
