Fit Yummy Mummy, a fitness company devoted to exercises for moms, is running a major promotion this week on its Trouble Spot Solution workout system. The product is available today for a 30-day trial at a cost of $4.

In a statement, the company said that it is running this promotion as part of a celebration of owner Holly Rigsby's 40th birthday. Rigsby, a mother of two, founded the company to help other moms burn baby belly through postpartum exercises.

“The Trouble Spot Solution is a unique product because it was created to help women lose fat in their most troublesome areas: the butt, thighs, and abs,” Holly Rigsby explains. “Yet, at the same time, the system was designed with an understanding that you can't just train a body part to make it lose weight.”

Indeed, exercise researchers have consistently demonstrated that body part specific exercises do little to “tone” the muscles and burn the fat of that specific body region. For this reason, Holly recommends post pregnancy exercises that take a more complete view of the body.

Just as she warns against training specific body parts to achieve fat loss in trouble spots, Rigsby also reveals that long-duration cardio workouts ultimately fall short, too.

“As all women know it can be tough to lose things like muffin top fat after giving birth,” Rigsby says. “Cardio workouts simply don't work, but the Trouble Spot Solution is a system that can banish the baby belly through higher intensity, shorter workouts that boost metabolism and burn fat.”

While many women are quick to jump on the treadmill or elliptical for hour-long sessions, these types of workouts are less effective because they fail to alter the body's metabolism. Interval training, in the meantime, burns fat so effectively precisely because intervals target the body's metabolic system.

The Trouble Spot solution addresses fat loss through a 12 week program consisting of 3 phases; one each for the butt, thighs, and abs. Each phase contains 2 separate, 15-minute total body strength-based workouts. The workouts also come with warm-ups and “finishers.”

“Many women simply do not know how to lose that mommy belly – or their butt and thighs for that matter – after giving birth,” Rigsby continued. “The Trouble Spot Solution training kit takes the guesswork out of coming up with a workout progression that can burn fat from these difficult areas.”

In addition to the main workout programming, the product also comes with a slew of bonuses, including interval training videos, fat burning meal plan videos, and a kettlebell workout video.

Products like the Trouble Spot training kit are the culmination of Rigsby's goal of providing post pregnancy workouts to women. Rigsby also writes a Fit Yummy Mummy blog to offer nutrition advice and general tips on fitness to new moms.

Fit Yummy Mummy is currently running a promotion through tonight at Midnight in honor of Rigsby's 40th birthday. The Trouble Spot Solution is now available for a 30-day trial period at a price of just $4.
