New research study “Offshore Centres: 2012 Private Banking Handbook” created by WealthInsight has been recently published by Market Publishers Ltd. The report states that offshore centers have grown their portfolio of assets under management to US$8.3 trillion.

London, UK (PRWEB) October 25, 2012

Within the worldwide private banking industry, offshore centers have grown their portfolio of assets under management (AuM) to US$8.3 trillion (42% of the total). Switzerland is the largest global player, with over 80% of its funds held for foreign clients. However, the situation is likely to assume a new aspect, with Singapore, leaving Switzerland behind, expected to become the largest global offshore wealth centre in terms of AuM by 2020-end. This will be driven by funds flowing from Switzerland, Luxemburg and the Caribbean towards Singapore. Additionally, strong growth in high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) in China, India and Indonesia, which are among the largest investors in Singapore, will further boost AuM.
