AlphaBlue Parent - the new app that lets parents take control of their children's mobile phone
AlphaBlue Parent is a ground breaking online solution that enables parents or guardians to control and manage when their child has access to their mobile phone.
(PRWEB UK) 25 October 2012
It works by letting parents set timed restrictions on their child's mobile phone stopping access to functionalities such as incoming and outgoing calls, texts, BBM, internet, Facebook and Twitter while still allowing access to educational tools such as calculator, calendar, notes.
These restrictions can be set during school hours, while doing homework or after a certain time at night. But it also has the flexibility of allowing parents to add key emergency telephone numbers so a child can contact or be contacted by a parent even when the phone is in restrictive mode.
AlphaBlue Parent is a unique global patented solution that has been designed for parents by parents who were having issues with their child's phone misuse and high bills. AlphaBlue Parent is operated via an easy to use tool on the AlphaBlue website.
AlphaBlue Parent is available for a 14 day free trial, then costs £2.99 a month.

Notes to Editors
Statistics from the Education Department show that if all 2.6 million children in secondary education across England were distracted by their phone for one minute per day in the classroom, the yearly cost in lost education to the government could be as high as £44,397,937.00. This figure does not include the effect on learning potential, exam results and ultimately business in general.
AlphaBlue Parent was designed by Graeme Menday to protect his own children from misusing their phone. Previously Graeme has served in the Infantry and then the Royal Army Physical Training Corps, operating in various global theatres. He's also worked with the Royal Family, specifically teaching Princes William and Harry, and is a specialist in mountain warfare and an instructor at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. Since leaving the Army, Graeme has provided personal protection to various foreign royals and business individuals, as well as A-list celebrities. Graeme also has five years corporate technology sales experience.
At present AlphaBlue Parent is only available on BlackBerry. An Android offering will be available soon.
