Chantilly, VA (PRWEB) October 24, 2012

The Northern Virginia HVAC experts at Jones-Rogers, Inc. are proud to announce their involvement in the ‘Service our Servicemen' project coordinated by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America's National Capital Chapter. Showing the importance performing preventative maintenance on heating equipment, Jones-Rogers has volunteered to provide free heating equipment check-ups for those who have serviced or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces.

As temperatures dip near freezing, Jones-Rogers has seen an increase in Northern Virginia residents calling about their heating equipment not working properly mainly due to dirty filters and dirt in general. And many times, repair bills can be avoided by simply having preventative maintenance done to their equipment once a year, according to Jones-Rogers.

In an effort to save Northern Virginia residents' money and lower their home operating costs of their heating and air conditioning systems, local power company Dominion Power is providing a $90 rebate when customers request preventative maintenance including Heat Pump Check-Ups, Heat Pump Upgrades and Duct Sealing by a quality contractor such as Jones-Rogers, Inc. Dominion Power is also offering a rebate for the upgrade of a heat pump with SEER rating higher than 14.5.

“Because of the economy, a lot of our customers have been holding back on replacing their heating and air conditioning equipment,” says Elvita Jones of Jones-Rogers, Inc. “But thanks to our special prices and the initiatives of organizations such as the ACCA and Dominion Power, more people are taking advantage of these opportunities and enjoying the lower operating cost and increased home comfort ability.”

The U.S. Department of Energy strongly recommends preventative maintenance, and most manufacturers of heating and air conditioning require preventative maintenance be done in order to honor their parts warranties. Instead of waiting for a system to fail, request Jones-Rogers' preventative maintenance check-up to prepare a heating system for the cold weather ahead.
