Media Advisory: Giant Tiger Offers a Helping Hand to Underprivileged Children in the Ottawa Area and Challenges Everyone to Do the Same
OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 29, 2012) - On the morning of Tuesday, October 30, 2012, Giant Tiger will be pulling up one of its trailers to The Snowsuit Fund depot located at 225 Donald Street in Ottawa with a much needed surprise. The Giant Tiger team will be dropping off 700 snowsuits valued at over $43,000 to help replenish stock in preparation of the cold weather months quickly approaching.
Giant Tiger is community driven and we are aware of our customers' needs. Warm clothing is a basic necessity when you live in Ottawa. Everyone must do what they can to help organizations such as The Snowsuit Fund make sure children in need are clothed appropriately.
During the 2011/2012 season, The Snowsuit Fund distributed over 15,000 new snowsuits and has been keeping children warm for 31 years.
The Depot is now open for the 2012-2013 season. Hours of operation are Tuesday to Saturday, 9 am to 4 pm. Help us help the kids!
