A pioneer in database marketing, data analytics and digital fundraising, Dr. Walvoord founded STRATMARK in 1992. Under his leadership STRATMARK has raised more than $2 billion for numerous clients in the nonprofit sector, including health, religious, public policy and law, international relief and development, association and membership, and human and social services organizations.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue moving STRATMARK forward as CEO,” said Kersten, a 35-year industry veteran. Prior to joining STRATMARK as president in November, 2011, Kersten had been chief creative officer and executive creative director for two national fundraising agencies. For almost 25 years, he was an independent creative and strategic fundraising consultant serving some of the nation's most highly regarded nonprofits, including Smithsonian Institution, American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, World Vision, Covenant House and others.
As STRATMARK's president, Kersten has led a strategic repositioning of the company, which has made significant investments in predictive analytics, digital fundraising, donor research and major donor fundraising.
Based in the Dallas area, STRATMARK was recently named as fundraising agency of record for the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Library and digital fundraising agency for the National Park Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
Since 1992, STRATMARK has raised more than $2 billion for nonprofit organizations by deploying strategic multichannel campaigns, from traditional direct mail to innovative digital communications.
