Centice to Demonstrate its Narcotics Identification System Mobile Field Lab-3000 at the 2012 Enforcement Expo
Centice Corporation, a pioneer in chemical verification and identification using Raman spectroscopy and computational sensor technology, will be demonstrating its narcotics identification system, the Mobile Field Lab-3000 (MFL-3000) at the Enforcement Expo (booth #347). The annual meeting for law enforcement professionals, which is produced by Cygnus Expositions, runs alongside the EMS World Expo.
The conference takes place October 31-November 2 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Centice will be providing demonstrations of the MFL-3000 technology throughout the show.
The MFL-3000 enables law enforcement and first responders to:
- Quickly and easily establish probable cause by performing presumptive drug testing in the field without destroying evidence.
- Perform a full chemical analysis of confiscated substances and identify relative strength of pure narcotics, precursors and adulterants.
- Track illegal narcotics “formulas” throughout a jurisdiction. Simply by saving the spectra (unique fingerprint) of a confiscated substance to the database. The MFL-3000 will alert law enforcement when identical spectrums are scanned.
- Leverage the scientific data provided by Raman spectroscopy to quickly bring evidence to the grand jury without having to wait for the crime lab.
“This piece of equipment is essentially a one stop shop…with this device we can very quickly tell what we are going to collect, essentially cutting our evidence investigation time in half,” stated Agent Nate Luca, Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad, Georgia.
