U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Upholds INTTRA Patent
INTTRA, the world's largest, most active network for ocean shipping, announced today the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office recently provided a notice of intent to confirm the validity of INTTRA's U.S. Patent No. 7,756,794, entitled “Common Carrier System.” This patent covers key aspects of INTTRA's multi-carrier e-commerce platform for managing ocean container shipments. The Patent Office notice effectively concludes a reexamination that had been initiated by GT Nexus, Inc. to challenge the validity of the patent.
"INTTRA is pleased that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has confirmed the validity of all the claims in our patent and rejected efforts by a competitor to challenge these important patent rights," said Eric Winston, INTTRA's Senior Vice President and General Counsel.
