Bandwidth Named to List of the Largest Privately Held Companies in NC
Bandwidth, one of the Triangle's fastest-growing technology companies, today announced it was named to the “Grant Thornton North Carolina 100®” list. The list recognizes companies demonstrating the tenacity, grit, staying power and business acumen required to be one of the 100 largest privately owned businesses in the state.
Grant Thornton has been celebrating the essential role played by these companies in the Carolina economy for over 25 years.
Bandwidth has been part of the Triangle area's growth story for more than a decade. Today, the company's technology powers some of the biggest brands in the market—Google Voice, Skype, Vonage, Pinger and Bandwidth's own republic wireless.
“We're at the heart of a revolution going on in North Carolina—and more specifically, here in the Triangle. This region is such a vibrant area for startups and we're a great example of a company that not only made it, but is turning an entire industry on its head,” said Bandwidth COO Chris Chuang.
“We began as a startup 13 years ago and now we're the 6th largest telecom company in the nation. But that's not the end of our success story. Our teams understand that what we're doing here at Bandwidth is a real game changer. Particularly with our republic wireless product, we're creating a new standard for how consumers experience mobile communications,” Chuang added.
Bandwidth has more than 300 employees today and currently has 35 open positions available. Learn more.
“This is a very exciting time for Bandwidth,” said Bandwidth CMO Noreen Allen.
“We have dozens of open positions and we're proud to continue creating jobs in the Triangle. All of our business lines are packed with incredible promise and Bandwidth is a great place to be right now. We're changing the way people communicate and it's really a once in a lifetime opportunity. Because our people all get that, we're able to do some amazing work together,” said Allen.
Bandwidth was recently named one of the “Best Places to Work” by the Triangle Business Journal and is a finalist in the “Top Private Company” category of the NCTA 21 Technology Awards.
