Berluti to open new store location at 9, rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré
Berluti, bootmaker since 1895, plans to open its third store in Paris at 9, rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, in the second half of 2013.
Antoine Arnault, Chief Executive Officer of Berluti, said, « Our location on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré marks an important milestone in the development of our brand and will help further enhance its visibility and the excitement around the work we are doing. It is also a return to the roots of our brand, as the new store is only a few steps from the rue du Mont-Thabor where Torello Berluti opened a store in 1928. »
Shoes, leather goods, ready-to-wear and accessories will be presented on three floors, with more than five-hundred square metres (or approximately 5,400 square feet) of selling space. There will be a dedicated area as well for bespoke shoes, which Berluti has created since 1895.
To support the continued strong development of its bespoke shoes business, Berluti has strengthened its teams of craftsman through the acquisition of the prestigious workshops of bootmaker Anthony Delos, who is one of the best shoemakers in France, at 34 years old. His workshops have received the distinction of « Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant » (or Company of Living Heritage), reflecting the excellence for which they are known. The workshops of Anthony Delos in the Rosiers-sur-Loire (Loire Valley) will become those for bespoke shoes at Berluti.
