Convergent Appoints Mark Schanck as New Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Convergent Revenue Cycle Management, Inc. (Convergent), a leading provider of patient access and revenue cycle management solutions to hospitals and health systems across the nation, has appointed Mark Schanck as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In this role, Schanck will be responsible for new business development, executive leadership, and marketing and promotion strategies surrounding Convergent's healthcare revenue cycle management services to hospitals across the nation.

With nearly twenty years of revenue cycle management experience, Schanck began his healthcare career at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. Most recently, he served as the Vice President of Business Development and Marketing for HBCS. As part of the executive leadership team of HBCS, he helped to successfully build a strong sales team, re-brand the company image and significantly expand the HBCS footprint in the market.
In addition to HBCS, Schanck held positions at Shared Medical Systems where he helped develop the organization's first Provider Outsourcing Services Center. There, he contributed to the development of the nation's first Medicare Plus-Choice program while responsible for a team of 125 individuals that worked in all aspects of the Managed Care Payer Cycle. After acquisition by Siemens, Schanck joined forces with the Revenue Cycle Outsourcing team to help develop the “National Business Office” providing back-end billing and follow-up services to hospitals.
