Technology Crossover Ventures Opens London Office to Expand into Europe

Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV), a leading provider of capital to growth-stage technology companies, announced today that the firm is expanding into Europe with the opening of the TCV London office. TCV General Partner John Rosenberg heads the office, and he is joined by new TCV Principal John Doran who was previously with Summit Partners. The TCV London team will focus on investments in growth-stage companies in the Internet, software, financial technology, infrastructure, and technology-enabled services sectors across the continent.

Mr. Doran brings deep experience investing in software, financial technology and Internet companies.

About John Rosenberg

Mr. Rosenberg joined TCV in 2000 and has over 14 years of financial and investment experience. Mr. Rosenberg currently serves on the board of Think Finance. His other current investments include Eladian Partners; Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. IBKR; kgb (118-118); Liquidnet Holdings, Inc.; and Travelport, Ltd. Additionally, Mr. Rosenberg has been involved with previous TCV investments, including Automated Trading Desk, LLC (acquired by Citigroup); Capella Education Company CPLA; FX Alliance Inc. (acquired by Thomson Reuters); and Thinkorswim Group, Inc. (acquired by Investools, Inc.) among others. Prior to joining TCV, Mr. Rosenberg was a business development manager at WeddingChannel.com where he focused on strategic development and financial reporting activities. Previously, he was an analyst in the technology investment banking group at Robertson Stephens & Company. Mr. Rosenberg received a B.A. in economics from Princeton University.

Mr. Doran joined TCV in 2012 and is a principal in the firm's London office. Prior to joining TCV, he was with Summit Partners where he focused on sourcing, evaluating and executing investments across the technology sector. Before Summit, Mr. Doran was based in India where he worked for the Xander Group. He started his career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley in the mergers and acquisitions group. Mr. Doran received an A.B. in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
