RDA Microelectronics Achieves Volume Shipments of SP3T Switch for 2G Handsets to Samsung

SHANGHAI, China, Aug. 29, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- RDA Microelectronics RDA ("RDA Microelectronics" or the "Company"), a fabless semiconductor company that designs, develops and markets Radio Frequency (RF) and mixed-signal wireless SoC semiconductors for cellular, connectivity and broadcast applications, today announced that it has begun volume shipments of its RDASW36 switch for use in Samsung's 2G handsets. The phones are being deployed in Europe and emerging markets worldwide, such as Southeast Asia and South America.

Developed on Silicon-On-Insulator (SOI) CMOS process technology, RDA's single pole three throw (SP3T) switch combines high power with low insertion loss and small size, making it ideally suited for WiFi and Bluetooth applications in 2G handsets as well as other general purpose applications.
