Over the last month the Toolbox marketing team have been making alterations on the website to prepare for the amended XR range of Dewalt power tools. The new range is officially released at the start of August and Toolbox has ensured the deadline will be met.

Evesham, Worcestershire (PRWEB UK) 28 July 2012

Everyone in a tool based industry will have definitely heard of the Dewalt brand, as they're world renowned for their quality of power tools in particular the XR range. It comes as fairly big news that amendments are being made to the current XR equipment; however, it's all for positive reasons.

So what's exactly changing? The original XR series featured 3Ah batteries and this is predominantly what the change addresses. The standard 3Ah batteries will now be increased in power to 4Ah; this means that the original 3Ah batteries will no longer be available to purchase. The same goes for tool-packs which include the batteries, everything (with 1 exception) will now come standard with 4Ah batteries from new.

The increase from 3Ah to 4Ah batteries will see tools have a longer run-time of approximately 33% which is much longer than competitor's power tools in the market. Most people would expect this increase in longevity come with an increase in weight, but Dewalt have managed to avoid this by making the walls of the battery thinner.

A full charge of the battery will take just over an hour and they will retain the charge due to being lithium ion. The new batteries also feature a charge indicator to let the user know how much life is left before a recharge is needed.

This makes the Dewalt XR range one of the most effective brands in the market of power tools and it will surely lead to an increase in sales and brand recognition.

Marketing Manager of Toolbox, Scott Morris commented on this Dewalt product update: “We're always enthusiastic when we see big brand manufacturers improving upon already great ranges of products. The big changeover happens at the start of August and from then on the only source of the original XR kits will be retailers who have surplus stock – so there will definitely be some bargains around that time!”

Lee Taylor, General Manager at Toolbox added: “I've used Dewalt tools since I got into DIY and they're one of the best brands going. Quality, reliability and just generally brilliant tools - no doubt millions agree with me. If you're looking for some great value tools, I highly recommend the Dewalt power tool kits because the value for money is incredible and they offer quite a generous warranty on their tools and batteries!”

Toolbox.co.uk currently operates on the new, rebranded and ever-expanding Online Home Retail Network which currently runs around 50 websites which sell everything from bathroom cabinets and drain rods to Swiss army knives & vacuums. Online Home Retail Limited first started out as Plumbworld Ltd back in 1999 and since then it has been bought by the Grafton Group PLC in 2006 and received a major rebrand in 2012. The business now employs 60 people in its purpose built warehouse/offices and has a total turnover nearing £25 million per year.
