Kroll Ontrack Enhances Verve Cloud-Based E-Discovery Tool with New Usability Functionality to Further Streamline Do-It-Yourself E-Discovery Matter Management
Kroll Ontrack, the leading provider of e-discovery, information management, and data recovery products and services, today announced the availability of Verve™ 1.2. Continuing to innovate and building on the feature set made available to the market in February 2012, Verve 1.2 provides users with better useability, faster results and more control over their projects through enhanced data transfer and processing management and greater visibility into the e-discovery project management and budgeting process.
Specific features of Verve 1.2 include:
- Enhanced data transfer functionality: Through real-time system notifications for any files that may not transfer as desired, users now have the ability to make informed decisions to either resend, ignore or analyze these files. With better communication between the user and transfer engine, clients will benefit from a faster, more controlled data upload process.
- Easy load file import: With support for more file types and a new Import Wizard, clients can better direct the load file import process. This, coupled with the ability to create templates that can be modified and reused for importing common formats, such as Summation and Concordance, saves time and cost, but also makes the data import process more repeatable and defensible.
- Better visibility into non-processable files: By analyzing new Exception Analytics Reports that detail non-processable files by custodian, data type and other data descriptors, clients are able to better understand their data and make faster, more informed decisions prior to performing more collections, processing and review.
- Transparent budget management: Through a new Account Usage Summary Report, clients are able to view each of their matters' data volume broken down by both GB and TIFF pages, enhancing their ability to predict and control matter costs.
“We've heard our clients loud and clear; the key to conducting discovery in-house is a tool that is powerful, intuitive, efficient and empowers the user to control the process – from beginning to end,” said Joel Vogel, senior vice president of Legal Technologies, Kroll Ontrack. “Verve 1.2 does just that. Building on the most advanced discovery processing engine in the e-discovery industry and award winning EDA and review platforms, Verve now delivers more insight into the e-discovery process through new reports and functionality wizards while improving the speed of the entire e-discovery process.”
