Discover the Real Wines of Valdepenas This Spring
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 30, 2012) - The world of wine is often surrounded by an aura of exclusively and elitism which distances it from 'real' people. It sometimes seems that to be able to enjoy a good wine you need to spend a huge amount of money and be a real wine buff. The P.D.O. Valdepenas aims to send out the message that Valdepenas wines are different from the rest, with their own original style. Original style means an authentic style, something that each individual decides for themselves and chooses without any pressure.
"You don't need to be a wine buff to enjoy a Valdepenas wine," said Vanessa Castillo Quiros, Marketing Director of PDO Valdepenas. "We grow 12 different types of grapes in the Valdepenas Designation of Origin, which means we can make wines with a unique style and personality, so you can always find the perfect Valdepenas wine for every occasion."
Consumers can identify Valdepenas wines from the label on the back of all the bottles protected by the Designation of Origin. The generic back label for the D.O. Valdepenas was redesigned in 2011 to include the new logo.
Valdepenas wines are 100 per cent Spanish with a unique origin and the second most widely-consumed P.D.O. in Spain, meaning that it is only a "Valdepenas" if the grapes are grown and the wine is made and bottled in this unique region at the heart of Spain. Valdepenas wines also offer outstanding value and there's a Valdepenas wine for every occasion.
P.D.O. Valdepenas has recently launched a global campaign to invite wine drinkers to rediscover Valdepenas wines. Earlier this year, PDO Valdepenas made its debut in Montreal, Canada.
