Outcomes Announces Medicare-Focused Webinar Series

DES MOINES, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

To assist Medicare Part D plan sponsors to prepare for and optimize their Medication Therapy Management (MTM) offerings for 2013, Outcomes Incorporated (Outcomes^®) will host a series of Medicare-focused webinars.

Beginning in 2013, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will require Part D plan sponsors to provide seniors with standardized Medication Therapy Management (MTM) post-service materials. The program changes were announced in the recently released CMS 2013 Call Letter. The federal agency also called on the industry to develop clear and consistent MTM service expectations, particularly with regard to the Comprehensive Medication Review (CMR). The CMR service is anticipated to become the focus of a STAR Ratings performance measure in 2014.

The first webinar, “Medicare MTM: Understanding the New Landscape for 2013”, will cover the details important to understand when considering 2013 Medicare Part D MTM program offerings.

The second webinar, “Beyond Compliance: Utilizing MTM Services to Enhance Patient Outcomes and Improve STAR Ratings”, will focus on strategically positioning MTM services to not only meet CMS expectations but also improve plan performance.
