Mr. Sobieraj is a past president of the Licensing Executives Society (LES USA & Canada), and currently serves as treasurer to the board of directors of the Licensing Executives Society International. He also has served as president of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago, and on the board of directors for the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Mr. Sobieraj is a founding member of the IP Hall of Fame Academy, and the Richard Linn American Inn of Court. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Sobieraj is the president of the St. Edward's Church parish council in Mendon, Michigan, and is a member of the Union League Club of Chicago.

Mr. Sobieraj earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and holds a B.S. magna cum laude in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan.
