Williamsport, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) January 02, 2012

The Williamsport Inventor's Club, hosted by the Williamsport / Lycoming KIZ, and supported by the Williamsport Chapter of S.C.O.R.E., is now a registered member of the United Inventors Association of America (UIA), making them the only registered club in Pennsylvania.

The UIA is a Federally Registered Non-Profit Educational Foundation. Their commitment is to provide educational resources to the inventing community, while encouraging honest and ethical business practices within the industry service providers.

Being a registered member of this association means access to speakers, inventor trade show information, speaking engagements, inventing programs and inventor help information. The UIA has a trademark presentation called, “The Road to Inventing” that is presented at inventor club meetings all over the country. This spring, the Williamsport Inventors Club plans to host this event and make it open to all interested parties.

David Stone, Chair of the Williamsport Inventor's Club says, “I am really excited that the Williamsport Inventor's Club was able to become a registered member of the UIA. This opens up so many doors of opportunity for us and the members of our Club. I see this as a growing and learning opportunity, and hopefully it will really encourage and inspire our local inventors to initiate greater club participation and involvement.”

The Williamsport Inventor's Club meets once a month in an open forum where inventors learn new tips and information from special speakers, as well as give each other advice and receive feedback. All club members must sign a confidentiality agreement.
