Ohio Valley Professional Coaches Alliance Announces Donate-A-Coach Program
January 12, 2012 12:08 PM
In recognition of International Coaching Week (February 5 - 11, 2012), the Ohio Valley Professional Coaches Alliance (OVPCA) today announced it will donate professional coaching engagements to nonprofit organizations in their communities.
“The world's leading companies have long recognized the remarkable value of executive coaching. The Donate-A-Coach program gives nonprofit organizations that generally do not have funding for professional coaching the opportunity to experience similar benefits. Our coaches will collaborate with nonprofit executives to achieve key development and performance goals in support of their organizations' strategic objectives,” said Katie Gaughan, OVPCA President. “We view this as an ideal way to support the important work of our region's nonprofit organizations while providing our members an opportunity to give back to the communities in which they live and work.”
The donated engagements, consisting of a minimum of eight (8) one-hour coaching sessions, will be administered by OVPCA members who are all professionally trained members of the larger International Coach Federation (ICF).
Up to three coaching engagements will be awarded in each of the following metropolitan areas: Cincinnati, Lexington, and Louisville. In the unlikely event that there are no nominations in a given metropolitan area, no engagement will be donated in that area.
Companies, individuals, and nonprofit organizations may submit nominations. Qualifying rules and nomination forms may be found on the OVPCA web site: www.ohiovalleycoaches.com/donate-a-coach.
Nominations will be accepted through midnight on February 3, 2012. The OVPCA will randomly draw winning entries at 9:00 AM on Monday, February 5. Winners will be notified immediately. A press release announcing the winners will be issued after all winners have formally accepted their awards.
