BSD Medical's BSD-2000 Hyperthermia System Purchased by Prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie Oncology Center in Poland

BSD Medical Corporation (NASDAQ: BSDM) (the “Company” or “BSD”) announced today that the prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie Oncology Center, located in Bialystok, Poland, has purchased a BSD-2000 Hyperthermia System (BSD-2000). The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Oncology Center is a European Comprehensive Cancer Center that has regional branches in multiple locations and is the leading cancer research and treatment center in Poland. The research staff is internationally recognized for its clinical research in oncology, and the Research Division has been awarded the title of “National Center of Excellence” by the Polish Ministry of Science. The department of radiotherapy is directed by Dr. Tomasz Filipowski, who also serves as Deputy Director of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Oncology Center.

The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Oncology Center was founded in 1932, in collaboration with the Polish Government, as the Radium Institute by Marie Sklodowska-Curie. Marie Sklodowska-Curie received the Nobel Prize for Physics for the discovery of radioactivity in 1903 and the Nobel Prize for Chemistry for her discovery of radium and polonium in 1911.
