EATONTOWN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

IPKeys announced today the initial release and availability of EISS™, a standards-based Energy Interoperability Server & System implementing core functionality in the OpenADR 2.0 profile of the new OASIS Energy Interop™ 1.0 (“EI”) standard.

“On behalf of IPKeys, I am delighted to announce the release of EISS™, said IPKeys Managing Director & CFO, Robert Nawy. “EISS™ presents a dramatic change and opportunity for the demand aggregation, curtailment services, utility and energy wholesale markets with the automation of real time standards based interoperable machine to machine two-way communications,” Nawy continued.

“EISS™ provides a physical hedge by deploying facility based program logic that enables predetermined changes in electricity consumption in response to price signal information, Demand Response (DR) events and other related initiatives, such as Price Responsive Demand (PRD) programs,” said James Boch, Principal Electrical Engineer, IPKeys. “Standards-based real time telemetry provides Demand Aggregators, Curtailment Services Providers and Utilities significant competitive advantage and compliance capabilities,” Boch added.

What does EISS™ do?

EISS™ uniquely integrates a Software as a Service (“SaaS”) cloud-based computing platform with facility-based EISS™ end point devices capable of conveying pricing and a range of program information signals and converting those signals into popular formats like BACnet, LONWORKS®, and MODBUS®, etc. EISS™ allows an energy market provider to automate and scale secure real time communications with their customers that include distribution of price signals, DR events and provider information and programs; reception of DR event confirmation and verification messages; and near real time monitoring of load behavior using IPKeys' EISS™ facility end point devices.
