Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. Takes Delivery of 43rd and 44th Vessels

NEW YORK, Sept. 6, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. (Nasdaq: EGLE) today announced that it has taken delivery of two additional Supramax newbuildings, Puffin and Roadrunner, bringing Eagle Bulk's total on the water fleet to 44 vessels. The Puffin and the Roadrunner are 58,000 dwt Supramax dry bulk vessels. 

Upon commencement of their contracted charters, the Puffin and Roadrunner are expected to contribute in excess of $35.4M of minimum contracted revenue.
