Rutan & Tucker, LLP Adds Top Real Estate Lawyers to Its Palo Alto Office

Seasoned commercial real estate attorneys Scott Rogers and Ted Klaassen have joined the Palo Alto office of Rutan & Tucker, LLP, one of California's oldest and largest full-service law firms.

With the addition of Rogers and Klaassen, Rutan now provides Bay Area clients with legal representation in all aspects of complex commercial real estate matters. “We now have the capability to handle our clients' real estate needs from start to finish,” said Bill Eliopoulos, Palo Alto office managing partner.

Rogers brings 30 years of experience with a wide array of commercial real estate projects representing both institutional and private interests in transactional and litigation matters. His expertise includes all aspects of real estate investment including acquisition, development, financing, management, leasing, and disposition. Rogers' representation of lenders includes loan origination and loan enforcement matters including workouts, foreclosures, collection actions, note sales, REO dispositions and co-lender issues.

Klaassen represents developers, investors, corporations and institutional clients in a broad array of real estate transactional and litigation matters. His transactional experience includes acquisition and disposition, development, redevelopment, construction, title review, leasing and workouts. As a trial lawyer, Klaassen has court and jury trial experience in both state and federal courts, and often counsels his real estate clients through pre-litigation dispute resolution.
