Active Power Recognized for Technology Innovation and Market Leadership

Building on the worldwide success of its continuous power solutions like PowerHouse, Active Power (NASDAQ: ACPW) was recently honored for its highly differentiated, innovative solutions and its ability to overcome adversity as a business. The company was recognized by the Austin Chamber of Commerce with the 2011 Greater Austin Business Award in the program's Innovative Practices category.

The chamber received nearly 400 nominations for the awards program, the highest number of submissions ever received. Of those submissions, the list was culled down to 140 finalists and then narrowed down to 20 award winners in the categories of Innovative Practices; Customer Service; Community Relations; Environment; Health and Wellness; Technology; and Nonprofit.
