Attorney Gouveia graduated from Umass Dartmouth in 1989 with a Bachelor's degree in history and from Southern New England Law School in 1998 with her Juris Doctor. She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She has now been practicing law for twelve years, and prior to her legal career, Attorney Gouveia worked in the insurance industry. This gives Attorney Gouveia invaluable experience when representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases that require her to negotiate with the insurance companies on a client's behalf.

Attorney Gouveia has not only successfully negotiated with insurance companies for her clients, but she has also successfully litigated many cases.
