Fisheries and Oceans Canada: Convictions Under the Fisheries Act

QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 16, 2009) - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, has released a list of Magdalen Islands Area fishers fined by Judge Jean-Paul Decoste on October 21, 2009, for various violations of the Fisheries Act.

The total amount of the fines imposed on the fishers is $7,450, plus licence suspended and banned from sealing areas during the 2010 season. The offenders are: http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/comm.pdf
