CHICAGO, Nov. 24, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Grace J. Nathan, M.S. and John A. Friedman, Ph.D. will kindle renewed critical thinking and passionate debate as they present astounding theories in their book Who Are We?. Published through Xlibris, this work sets forth a number of hypotheses, theories, and assertions concerning the nature of life on earth. These concepts are briefly listed below:
The on-off cycle of the sun governs all life on earth -- The earth's rotation with the sun in digital sequence is introduced as a universal principle affecting all limiting organisms. This programming exerts a powerful psychic influence on all living organisms. The "on presence" of sunlight is psychically understood as the time to live and function. The "off phase" of sunlight is understood to be a time to cease functioning and protect from danger.
Plants appeared as the original form of life -- As simple green plant-like forms containing the chelating compound chlorophyll, they possess a unique affinity with the sun and the ability to carry out photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the most important and vital process on earth. This mysterious process that enables green plants to initiate the manufacture of protoplasm and atmospheric oxygen is the foundation of all life. Plants are the perfect life form. They are completely programmed for survival and immortality.
Animal life evolved from plant life -- Single celled Protozoan animals evolved and continue to evolve from single celled Protozoan plants. The simple use of a microscope magnifying a drop of pond water will supply ample evidence of the evolutionary process in action.
Animals arose as an aberrant form of life and are imperfectly programmed for survival. They have lost their chlorophyll and the ability to manufacture their own food. The extraordinary importance of the incompleteness of human species programming is confirmed. All animals and humans are predators and are governed by the absolute power of the predator instinct: Eat Or Be Eaten.
Animals and man have lost this affinity with the sun. They are incompletely species programmed for survival. They are unable to produce their own food and oxygen and must prey on other living organisms to exist. They suffer aging, break down and death.
Time as a derivative of the on-off appearance of the sun as the planet rotates on its axis -- Time is a human perception attempting to count the number of appearances of the sun. The existence of a psychic sense of self is established as the universal characteristic of all life. From the simple celled Amoeba to the most sophisticated human, all must instinctively live and function aggressively on behalf of itself.
Additional Thoughts -- Although we will never fully understand the mysterious nature of life, we can assume that present forms of life and organic matter originated with green plant-like forms in the presence of sunlight and in the process of photosynthesis.
Can we also assume that this strange phenomenon we call life has a unique relationship with the sun? This relationship is perfectly demonstrated by the plant in the process of photosynthesis, the process which sustains all life on earth.
