SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSE:SPY) jumped 0.42% to $115.45 on 160.88 million shares. The stock today made its new 52-week high of $115.48.
iShares Russell 2000 Index (ETF) (NYSE:IWM) added 0.30% to $67.75 on 60.02 million shares. The stock is up over 92% in the last one year of trading sessions.
Texas Instruments Incorporated (NYSE:TXN) went down 2.11% to $24.07 on 23.09 million shares. Earlier this week, the company raised the low end of its forecast for current-quarter earnings and revenue on improving demand for its chips. TI said it would earn 48 cents to 52 cents a share in the first quarter, compared with its previously announced expectation of 44 cents to 52 cents.
Motorola, Inc. (NYSE:MOT) fell 1.13% to $7.03 on 19.41 million shares. Motorola has signed a deal with Microsoft Corp. The deal will allow Motorola's new smart phones to come equipped with Microsoft's search, and map capabilities.
Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATVI) climbed 2.95% to $11.51 on 18.55 million shares.
Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE:BSX) advanced 2.75% to $7.86 on 15.70 million shares. The company announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have approved its Express LD Iliac Premounted Stent System for use in iliac arteries. The Express LD Iliac Stent is the low-profile, premounted, balloon-expandable stent approved by the FDA for use in treating iliac artery disease.
