E-House (China) Holdings Limited (NYSE:EJ) soared 1.71% to $20.78 on 1.09 million shares as the company this week said its fourth-quarter net income attributable to E-House shareholders grew to $39.0 million or $0.49 per ADS from $8.3 million or $0.10 per ADS in the prior year period.
H&R Block, Inc. (NYSE:HRB) went down 0.66% to $16.57 on 5.99 million shares after the company this week said it will not provide outlook for the year, after posting a 20 percent drop in quarterly profit from continuing operations. For the third quarter ended Jan. 31, H&R Block earned $50.6 million, or 15 cents a share, compared with $47.4 million, or 14 cents a share, a year back.
The Kroger Co. (NYSE:KR) declined 0.89% to $22.15 on 9.49 million shares after the company said Tuesday that its fourth-quarter profit in the quarter ended Jan. 30 fell to $255.4 million, or 39 cents a share, from $349.2 million, or 53 cents, a year earlier.
Dick's Sporting Goods, Inc. (NYSE:DKS) added 1.73% to $25.89 on 2.38 million shares after the company this week quarterly profit topped market estimates for the seventh consecutive quarter on strong sales of cold weather gear, and forecast a full-year profit that could meet or beat analysts' expectations. The company's fourth-quarter net income rose to $67.4 million, 56 cents a share, from a loss of $105.6 million, or 94 cents a share, a year ago.
