Rajat K. Gupta Will Not Stand for Re-Election to Goldman Sachs Board (GS)

3/19/2010-Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) said Friday that Rajat K. Gupta has decided not to stand for re-election to the Board of Directors at the 2010 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

Mr. Gupta has been a director of Goldman Sachs since November 2006.

Lloyd C. Blankfein, Chairman and CEO, remarked, "Rajat has made important contributions to Goldman Sachs as a board member. His independent advice, keen understanding of the issues and belief in our culture has had a tremendous impact on our firm."
