H&R Block to Offer 24 Hours of Free Tax Advice (HRB)
3/17/2010-With April 15 looming and nearly 300 changes to the tax laws going into effect this season , H&R Block (NYSE: HRB) is offering a full day of free tax advice from 12:01 a.m. CDT to 11:59 p.m. CDT on Thursday, March 25.
"More than 95 percent of taxpayers were impacted by last year's mega tax legislation -- and many taxpayers still have questions," said Amy McAnarney, executive director of The Tax Institute at H&R Block. "With tax filing season nearing the April 15 deadline, March madness could quickly turn into April anxiety. Now is the time for answers -- especially with today's sluggish economy and near record-high unemployment."
