Rajat K. Gupta Will Not Stand for Re-Election to the Goldman Sachs Board of Directors

The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) today announced that Rajat K. Gupta has decided not to stand for re-election to the Board of Directors at the 2010 Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Mr. Gupta has been a director of Goldman Sachs since November 2006. During that time, he served as a member of the Audit, Compensation and Corporate Governance and Nominating Committees.
